About Me

The funny thing about living in a strange universe is that, to someone who is used to being its inhabitant, it isn't all that strange. Sometimes, it can be idealistic, of course, but not at all strange.

Ever since 2010, for years, mynameisblueskye has been trying to slowly develop the skills that will late serve him in making a musical world and language that'll serve him well later on in life. After asking a big question on WrongPlanet ("what does autism sound like musically?"), 2014 and beyond has been spent building a sound that best sounds like the world of an autistic person. To be specific, an autistic black person. A very underdiscussed and underserved demographic.

Armed with four keyboards, a smartphone, vocals and loads of Audacity, the Ibrahim Traore of Spectrumcore genre hops and genre blends between psychedelic pop, synthpop, dream pop, new wave, space rock and avant-soul with occasional spoken word passages while creating a sonic bouillabaisse that'll come to define his self-created genre: spectrumcore. This comes to a head while creating what will be his biggest project yet: an 100-page artistic diary written from the point of view of an abandoned alien with strange powers who people try to convince is a hero, only for him to turn his back and want to be a singer-songwriter. Think The Wall, Tommy, American Idiot, Frances the Mute, Stainless Style, 69 Love songs, The Headphone Masterpiece... all but wrapped in a warm and insular room of neo-psychedelia. Side note, is it common for singer-songwriters of one to have a drop of psychedelia within their songwriting? I digress...

It is likely bad karma to put in a bio all the things you are working on, rather than announcing such a thing AFTER it is done, but this gives you a heads up on what to look out for. So, till then...

Any other relevant information such as where I come from (Boston, MA), how log i have been doing music (12 years), and many other things can best be asked through email. (lightningpill@protonmail.com)
